About Tayden
Tayden Impact Partners is a Nashville-based organizational development consultancy serving nonprofits, social enterprises, foundations, and values-driven organizations. We help organizations build insides that match their outsides, because we believe work shapes people, people shape communities, and communities shape the world. Our job is to help leaders take responsibility for what kind of shaping is happening inside their organizations.
We partner with clients across three capability areas: Executive and Leadership Advisory, Leadership and People Development, and Strategy, Culture, and Talent Infrastructure. Everything we do is grounded in three commitments we call the three R’s: Relationships, Rigor, and Reflection.
We are growing intentionally. Every person who joins this team is chosen carefully, not just for the role they are filling but for who they are becoming.
About the Role
The Associate Consultant supports client engagements from the inside, working directly alongside our founder and consulting team on real client work from day one. We’ll teach you our frameworks, our brand, and how Tayden does things. What we won’t teach you is the craft itself. You arrive already knowing how to build a strong deck, synthesize messy input into a clear story, and hold yourself well in a client room. If we say “we have a retreat in four weeks and I need the materials built,” you can run with that and be ready to roll.
This role is based in Nashville because you’ll regularly be in client rooms with us, both locally and occasionally across the region.
What You’ll Do
Support the delivery of client engagements, including session preparation, agenda drafting, materials development, and being present in client rooms alongside senior team members
Turn raw input like interview notes, survey data, and meeting conversations into synthesis that tells a clear story, not just a summary
Build client-facing decks and documents with strong judgment about how information should be presented visually, going beyond filling in a template
Anticipate what’s needed next in a project and act on it, whether that’s prepping a follow-up, flagging a gap, or getting ahead of a deadline
Keep engagements organized and on track using our systems, including Monday.com and Slack, as part of your daily rhythm
Take on growing ownership of workstreams and client relationships over time
Who You Are
Based in Nashville and able to travel locally to client sites, with occasional regional travel
Two to five years of experience in consulting, nonprofit work, HR, talent development, or a related field, with real reps building client-facing materials and supporting live engagements
Client-ready. You present well, read a room, build relationships naturally, and carry yourself in a way that makes clients feel cared for. Disposition matters as much as skill here
A proactive thinker. You don’t wait to be told every step. You notice what connects to what, and you’ll come to us saying “I went ahead and did this because I saw it was needed”
Sharp attention to detail. You catch the typo, the broken link, the slide that doesn’t match, before it reaches a client
A strong translator. You can take content someone else developed and adapt it appropriately for the audience and the moment
Comfortable admitting mistakes and asking for help. We’d rather hear “I’m not sure” early than find a problem late
Able to practice cultural humility with colleagues and clients, and to operate well in multicultural environments
Trusted with sensitive information. You’ll see client data, leadership dynamics, and internal conversations that require discretion at all times
Comfortable living in systems like Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace as everyday tools, not occasional ones
You’ll be supported with a structured competency progression, adapted from the ICF core competencies and tailored to how we work. But you’re arriving ready to contribute, not learning the job from scratch.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report directly to our Founder and CEO and work closely with our consulting and operations team. At our size, that means real proximity to how a consulting practice actually runs, from client strategy to delivery to the systems underneath it all.
How You’ll Grow
We believe in continuous learning and provide each team member with annual opportunities to engage in learning spaces that support their role. We also hold monthly internal development time to learn and grow as a team. Your development here follows a structured competency progression, so growth in responsibility and growth in the role are named and visible, not left to chance.
What Working Here Includes
$26 to $29 per hour, W-2, based on experience
Structured professional development, including direct mentorship and exposure to every part of a consulting engagement
Flexible scheduling within the 10 to 20 hour weekly range, within standard business hours. You must be available for client meetings and sessions as scheduled
A small, close team that practices what it teaches clients about healthy work
Our Interview Process
We share a transparent view of our interview process with every candidate, including referrals, and we notify all candidates of their status at each stage, including if they are not selected to move forward. Our typical process takes approximately four to six weeks:
- Resume Submission Review. We screen all applications and invite qualified candidates to a first interview.
- First Round, Video Interview. A virtual conversation with key members of the Tayden Impact team.
- Second Round, Interview with our CEO. Top candidates meet virtually with our Founder and CEO.
- Final Round, Reference Checks. We complete reference checks alongside final interviews so we can make a decision quickly once interviews conclude.
